Are you tired of feeling stuck despite all the self-help books, podcasts, YouTube videos, and motivational content? You feel like you’ve tried everything, but still can’t seem to make the progress you want. What if you could see significant change in your life in just a few months?
This is my specialty.
What Is a Life Coach and How Can They Help You?
A life coach is someone who helps you set and achieve your personal and professional goals. They provide guidance, support, and strategies to help you navigate challenges, unlock your potential, and create meaningful changes. Unlike therapy, which often focuses on the past, coaching helps you move forward with actionable steps and tools for success.
Why I Switched from Therapy to Coaching
I’ve always been passionate about all things relationships and self-development, which led me to study psychology at UC Berkeley and earn a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from USC. While I loved helping people as a therapist, I eventually realized that something was missing. Therapy often focuses on unpacking the past, and I noticed that many of my clients kept revisiting old wounds without making progress in the present. They were caught in a loop that prevented them from moving forward.
In 2020, I had an “aha” moment—I realized that I could help clients make significantly faster and more meaningful progress through coaching, by focusing on creating actionable solutions for the future.
After a few clients having major wins in just a few months, I transitioned into coaching full-time, and that’s when I really saw how I could help clients achieve results in a fraction of the time it took through traditional therapy.
Through coaching, I was able to help people not only understand their struggles but also take concrete steps toward transformation. I discovered that by giving people the right tools and strategies to move forward, they could break through the blocks holding them back and create the life they truly desired.
Some Amazing Client Win’s:
Let me share a couple of stories from clients I’ve worked with that illustrate how life coaching leads to dramatic transformations.
Finding herself for the first time: After spending years struggling to make choices, speak up, labeling herself as a “people pleaser”, and relying on others to make decisions for her or approve of her decisions, she decided enough was enough and scheduled a discovery call. We quickly realized what a great fit this would be and she started that week. After just three months of coaching, she learned how to be herself, make decisions for herself, and set healthy boundaries. She started prioritizing her own needs, began going to the gym, and built her confidence. For the first time, she wasn’t apologizing or explaining herself—she was simply owning who she was. Traditional means like therapy didn’t help anything and for the first time she felt empowered to use her voice and continues to say how great this is! Coaching transformed herself and her life.
Learning her worth: Being young and in a relationship, her first experience was with someone who was controlling and manipulative, which left her feeling confused, hurt, and worried setting boundaries only caused conflict. We started meeting right when she came out of a toxic relationship and was struggling to know her worth. Through coaching, she learned that setting boundaries and high standards in relationships isn’t about being “stuck up”—it’s about valuing herself. she healed from this relationship and recognized the unhealthy patterns. Prior to us meeting, she worried having standards was a bad thing but now see’s that through having self-love and worth, this actually is a good thing and sets the tone for how you expect others to show up for you. Today, she’s in a healthy, loving relationship where she’s treated with love, loyalty, respect, and with someone who appreciates who she truly is.
How a Life Coach Can Help You Achieve Your Goals
Coaching is about unlocking your potential and making your vision a reality. Here’s how working with a life coach can help you:
- Achieve Faster Results: Unlike traditional therapy that focuses on the past, coaching helps you focus on solutions that lead to fast, meaningful progress.
- Personalized Strategies: Everyone’s journey is unique. A life coach tailors strategies specifically to your needs, helping you create a personalized plan for success. Together, we can help you create habits and strategies that truly align with you.
- Overcome Blocks and Limiting Beliefs: Life coaches work with you to identify and break through the mental blocks holding you back, whether it’s fear, guilt, or self-doubt.
- Gain Confidence and Clarity: Through coaching, you’ll gain clarity on your goals and the confidence to go after them without hesitation.
- Build Better Relationships: Whether it’s with yourself or others, life coaches help you develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships by setting boundaries and valuing your worth.
